Software Reviews 2010
Here is the latest software reviews for 2010. Not much different than the previous year. I've tried Tell Me More, the number 1 slot, but didn't find it that entertaining and helpful. I was trying a version through our public library. I would like to try some of the others, I see Rosetta Stone has version 4 and 5 for Spanish now. I wonder if that would be a good place to start?

BBC Site
This site looks pretty interesting for learning spanish - BBC Spanish Site There is a story with videos which I have jus started viewing and it is pretty entertaining. One good thing is that even if what is being taught is basic, you can turn on spanish subtitles to the dialogue, and see all that is being said.

Lomastv.com
I decided to give this site a try, I thought the videos would help me with my listening and comprehension. It is nice to be able to read along with the dialogue in both english and spanish. And I like the fact that if I do no know a word, I can click on it and it automatically adds it to a flash card set for me that I can come back to later and review. One thing that I do not really like is that most of the videos are from spanish tv soap operas. Not exactly what the best thing in my opinion to learn from. It takes some adjusting to get used to their accent. They must drop their "s" in a lot of words. So I plan to stick with the site for 2-3 months until I can get through al the videos, but then I will probably move on to another site...

Live Mocha
Here is a cool site that I have been beginning to use - LiveMocha. You learn new vocabulary through pictures and sound, then get to write a little blurb that other members of the LiveMocha community get to critique. You can also submit a video recording of yourself reading a paragraph that can get critiqued also. It seems to be a fun little site and it measures your progress as well as you go through the various lessons. You can pay for additional features, but so far I am having fun with just the free options!

Spanish Learning Sites
There are a lot of Spanish language learning sites, some offering just vocabulary, while others offering videos and podcasts. After extensive searching, here are some of the sites that I recommend:
